MangoGT Overview

Legacy hardware -- discontinued

The MangoGT appliance has been discontinued and is no longer sold. This page is retained for customers with existing MangoGT deployments. Current Radix IoT hardware appliances are the RD50 and RD201.

The MangoGT is an industrial-grade embedded computer from Radix IoT that ships with the full Mango Enterprise software pre-installed and fully licensed. It is designed for SCADA, building automation, and IoT deployments where a dedicated, preconfigured hardware appliance simplifies installation at remote or industrial sites.

What Is the MangoGT?​

The MangoGT combines a rugged embedded Linux computer with the complete Mango Enterprise platform in a compact, DIN-rail or shelf-mountable enclosure. Unlike a software-only Mango installation on a general-purpose server, the MangoGT arrives ready to deploy -- connect power and Ethernet, and you can begin configuring data sources within minutes.

The unit runs a customized and optimized version of Debian Linux that has been tuned by Radix IoT for reliability and performance in long-running industrial environments. The operating system includes all standard Debian features while adding Mango-specific services, automatic startup, and monitoring.

  • Mango Enterprise -- the complete SCADA/IoT platform with all enterprise features enabled
  • Full module license -- all standard Mango modules are included and licensed
  • SSH server -- enabled by default on port 2222 for remote administration
  • OpenVPN client -- pre-installed for secure remote access
  • iDrive backup agent -- pre-installed for automated cloud backups

Common Use Cases​

The MangoGT is well-suited for:

  • Remote site monitoring -- deploy at substations, pump stations, or unmanned facilities where a small, reliable device is needed
  • Building automation -- connect to BACnet, Modbus, or other building systems via the built-in serial port or Ethernet
  • Industrial data collection -- gather data from PLCs, RTUs, and sensors using the analog I/O expansion module
  • Edge computing -- process and filter data locally before forwarding to a central Mango server or cloud platform
  • OEM integration -- embed within larger systems as the monitoring and control component
