This section covers administration tasks that are specific to running Mango on Linux. Most production Mango deployments run on Linux, and these guides provide essential information for diagnosing performance problems, analyzing JVM internals, and working with log files.

  • Linux Diagnostic Information -- Using JDK tools (jmap, jstack, jcmd) to capture thread dumps, heap dumps, memory histograms, and flight recordings from a running Mango process. Also covers managing open file limits and memory-mapped file limits for the NoSQL database.
  • Logging Console -- Viewing and downloading Mango log files through the web-based logging console in the administration UI.
